Pride Houston 365 Mobile Messaging Terms and Conditions

- The Mobile Messaging Program
The Pride Houston 365 mobile messaging program (“Program”) is operated by Pride Houston, Inc. doing business as Pride Houston 365 (“Pride Houston,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By enrolling in the Program, you agree to these Mobile Messaging Terms and Conditions (“Mobile Terms”) and consent to receive recurring text messages from or on behalf of Pride Houston 365 at the mobile telephone number you provide.
Messages may be delivered through SMS, MMS, Rich Communication Services (“RCS”), or other supported mobile messaging technologies.
- Types of Messages
Messages from Pride Houston 365 may include:
- Event announcements and reminders;
- Festival, parade, and program updates;
- Ticket and registration information;
- Community resources and opportunities;
- Volunteer opportunities;
- Fundraising and donation campaigns;
- Advocacy and organizational updates;
- Surveys and requests for feedback; and
- Other promotional or informational communications related to Pride Houston 365.
- Consent to Receive Messages
By providing your mobile number and affirmatively opting into the Program, you authorize Pride Houston 365 and its service providers to send recurring automated or non-automated mobile messages to the number you provided.
Consent to receive mobile messages is voluntary and is not a condition of making a purchase, donation, event registration, or receiving services from Pride Houston 365.
You represent that you are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number provided and that you are authorized to consent to receive messages at that number.
- Message Frequency and Charges
Message frequency will vary based on your interaction with Pride Houston 365, upcoming events, available programs, and organizational activity.
Pride Houston 365 does not charge a separate fee for the Program. However, message and data rates may apply according to the terms of your wireless service plan. You are responsible for any charges imposed by your wireless carrier.
Contact your wireless carrier if you have questions about your messaging or data plan.
- How to Opt Out
You may opt out of the Program at any time by replying STOP to any message from Pride Houston 365.
After submitting a valid opt-out request, you may receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. You will no longer receive messages through the Program unless you later provide new consent.
Requests containing words or phrases other than the recognized opt-out keyword may not be processed automatically. If you experience difficulty unsubscribing, contact us at info@pridehouston.org.
Opting out of the Program does not automatically unsubscribe you from Pride Houston 365 email communications. Email subscriptions must be managed separately through the unsubscribe link included in those emails.

- Supported Carriers and Message Delivery
Mobile messaging is provided on an “as available” basis. Wireless carriers are not responsible for delayed, incomplete, or undelivered messages.
Delivery may be affected by your mobile device, wireless service, network availability, carrier coverage, account status, or other circumstances outside Pride Houston 365’s control.
RCS messages may not be supported by every carrier or device. When RCS is unavailable, a message may be delivered through SMS or MMS when supported.
- Changes to Your Mobile Number
You agree to provide Pride Houston 365 with a valid mobile number.
If you discontinue or transfer your number, you are responsible for opting out of the Program before the number is reassigned. Pride Houston 365 is not responsible for messages delivered to a person who acquires a number that you previously used.
- Changes to the Program
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Program or any of its features at any time, subject to applicable law.
We may also change the telephone number, short code, sender identification, platform, or technology used to operate the Program. Opt-out or support requests sent to a number or channel that is no longer active may not be received.
- Privacy
Information collected through the Program will be handled in accordance with the Pride Houston 365 Privacy Policy.
Pride Houston 365 does not sell or share mobile messaging opt-in information or consent records with third parties for their independent marketing purposes.
We may disclose mobile information to service providers that help us operate the Program, including messaging platforms, telecommunications providers, technology vendors, and other organizations involved in delivering and administering messages. These providers may use the information only to perform services on our behalf or as otherwise permitted by law.

- Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Pride Houston 365 will not be liable for delayed, failed, incomplete, or misdirected message delivery; errors in message content; service interruptions; or actions taken or not taken based on information delivered through the Program.
Nothing in these Mobile Terms limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.
- Changes to These Mobile Terms
We may update these Mobile Terms periodically. Any revised terms will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
Your continued participation in the Program after revised Mobile Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of those changes, to the extent permitted by law.
