Zecylia Vukovic, also known as Momma Zee, grew up an Army brat. While she wasn’t born in Houston, she has spent most of her life here and claims it as her home. She has spent the last 17 years working for Walgreens. She is in the process of learning American Sign Language and is an avid movie watcher, especially classic musicals. Her brother-in-law lovingly calls her “Skittles” because he says she can make Rainbows. Of her three children, one identifies as Gay and one identifies as Transgender, and she couldn’t be any prouder. Zecylia’s first Pride memory falls in the year 2016. While Walgreens has always had a booth at the Celebration, before 2016 they had never walked in the Parade, this would be the first year the would participate. Not only would she join Walgreens by walking in the Parade, but her three children (ages at the time 16, 18, and 19), would join her. It has since become a family tradition to volunteer at the booth and walk in the Parade every year.
