Pride Houston understands there is much concern, and that we all have a responsibility to help slow the spread of  Covid-19 in our city.  Therefore, all in-person pride events for the year, including the Celebration and Parade, are cancelled. We must take the best course of action for the city we love, and the LGBTQ+ community. At this time, that means staying apart. Please stay tuned for news and updates about upcoming virtual events.

Stay home. Stay safe. Stay hopeful! We can get through anything as a community if we take care of each other now.

Surfonda Watts

Surfonda Watts has been a TABC certified bartender. She has worked as a bartender for 13 years and a head bartender for 10 years with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. She has managed over 96 volunteers and up to 19 bartenders at one time. Currently, she oversees the Houston Rodeo’s Club Chute. She also has staffed and run bars for all  Lesbian of Color events for the past two years. Before becoming a manager, Surfonda was known to bartend solo for events of up to 2000 people. By day, she works as a medical billing and collections specialists. Not to mention, she is the owner of Pretty Girlz Hookah, a mobile vending and concierge hookah business.
