Pride Houston understands there is much concern, and that we all have a responsibility to help slow the spread of  Covid-19 in our city.  Therefore, all in-person pride events for the year, including the Celebration and Parade, are cancelled. We must take the best course of action for the city we love, and the LGBTQ+ community. At this time, that means staying apart. Please stay tuned for news and updates about upcoming virtual events.

Stay home. Stay safe. Stay hopeful! We can get through anything as a community if we take care of each other now.

Barrett White

Barrett White is a print journalist and editor. He currently co-curates talent and topics for The 2081 Project podcast. He attended University of Houston in the renowned Creative Writing program and has spent close to a decade in queer media, lending his talents to Spectrum South, OutSmart Magazine and the Houston Press, among others. He writes full time for communications and government affairs in the realm of health care; serves as the current Political Communications Director for the Houston GLBT Political Caucus; and is the event chair and co-founder of the Genderless Cocktail Party with Pride Houston.
