Pride Houston and COVID-19 Safety Preparedness     >>

Pride Houston understands there is much concern, and that we all have a responsibility to help slow the spread of  Covid-19 in our city.  Therefore, all in-person pride events for the year, including the Celebration and Parade, are cancelled. We must take the best course of action for the city we love, and the LGBTQ+ community. At this time, that means staying apart. Please stay tuned for news and updates about upcoming virtual events.

Stay home. Stay safe. Stay hopeful! We can get through anything as a community if we take care of each other now.

Pride in Action

Pride In Action is a program created to give back to the community in other ways for those most in need.

Coat & Jacket Drive: November 2015

This Thanksgiving Day week Pride Houston® collected over 200 coats, jackets and hoodies. Pride representatives went on Sunday to the parking lot next to Star of Hope to distribute the collected items. Once they began distributing, the word got out and so many men, women and children came out who were in desperate need to keep warm this winter. A total of around 100 adults and 50 children were assisted by this Pride in Action program.

Does this sound like an amazing program you would like to be part of next year? Do you think you could lead this effort or have an idea to make this better? Well don’t be shy and volunteer for this or more events by emailing volunteer@pridehouston.org.
