Pride Houston and COVID-19 Safety Preparedness     >>

Pride Houston understands there is much concern, and that we all have a responsibility to help slow the spread of  Covid-19 in our city.  Therefore, all in-person pride events for the year, including the Celebration and Parade, are cancelled. We must take the best course of action for the city we love, and the LGBTQ+ community. At this time, that means staying apart. Please stay tuned for news and updates about upcoming virtual events.

Stay home. Stay safe. Stay hopeful! We can get through anything as a community if we take care of each other now.

Our 2019 Grand Marshals

Celebrating Our Past and Looking Towards Our Future

2019 Grand Marshals

Every year Pride Houston seeks input from the community to help identify the top role models for Houston’s LGBTQ+ community. These individuals have demonstrated outstanding accomplishments and are central pillars for advancing our community’s best interests on a local and national level. With record breaking voting for the Grand Marshals and the addition of the new Gender Non-Binary category we are proud to present Harrison Homer-Guy (Male-Identifying), Judge Shannon B. Baldwin (Female-Identifying), Mike Webb (Gender Non-Binary) and Constable Alan Rosen (Ally) as the 2019 Pride Houston Grand Marshals.

As this year marks the 50-year anniversary of the Stonewall Riots in New York City, Pride Houston wants to recognize this pivotal event in our community’s history by celebrating four community activist trans women of color as the Pride Houston Honorary Grand Marshals. The 2019 Pride Houston Honorary Grand Marshals are Atlantis Narcisse, Dee Dee Watters, Ana Andrea Molina and Monica Robert.

2019 Honorary Grand Marshals

“I have always believed that the LGBTQ+ community is a microcosm for society at large and the makeup of Houston is one that is diverse and colorful,” said Lo Roberts. “I could not be more proud of the 2019 Grand Marshals that Houstonians have chosen to represent them and I am proud of Pride Houston for honoring four incredible trans women of color as the 2019 Honorary Grand Marshals.”

Please join us on June 12th from 6 PM – 8 PM at Hamburger Mary’s for a fun and free evening to celebrate and honor our 2019 Grand Marshals.
