Join us as Pride Houston officially announces their bid for World Pride 2023, share details of their presentation to win in Athens, Greece, thank Houston and the region for their time, energy and commitment in Standing with Pride Houston. Come share your stories. Tape an interview to be presented in Greece. If you stand with Pride Houston, we need you to show up and root for your city.

Friends and supporters of Pride Houston and our bid are all encouraged to attend and learn all about the plans we have for World Price 2023!

The March on Washington Ave.

The Pride Team will be leading a march directly outside of Pearl Bar on Washington Ave.  We are asking attendees to bring a flag of their nationality or home country. We want to highlight the rich diversity that is the LGBTQ+ community in Houston and beyond.

Erica Nicole

“Be the person you needed when you were younger” is the quote that Erica Nicole lives life by.
Originally from New York, Erica Nicole is a nationally ranked poet, adolescent psychiatric Registered Nurse, Certified Child & Adolescent Trauma Professional, American Sign Language Interpreter student and has a post-graduate certificate in LGBT Health Policy & Practice. Erica Nicole is a Program Manager for Houston VIP Slam and serves on the Board as Community Relations Director for Invisible Strings Bookshop-a bookstore and community space for queer youth in Oregon.
Erica Nicole found healing in poetry and hopes to facilitate healing in others through words. A three-time member of the Houston VIP Slam team and a Writer In Residence with Writers In The Schools, Erica Nicole has hosted writing and performance workshops for youth and adult audiences.  She has three short length books of poetry, one of which is dedicated to raising awareness, understanding and support for suicide among LGBTQ* youth. Erica Nicole has been published by 310 Brown Street, Z Publishing House, Black Mountain Press & The Halcyone Magazine, to name a few. Recordings of Erica Nicole’s work can be found on the Write About Now, The Shout Houston and Tedx Talks YouTube channels.

Brittany Perez

A professionally trained special education instructional paraprofessional with six years of experience in this field. In addition to her studies Brittany is extremely passionate about working with LGBTQ+ youth of color who are at-risk and dealing with the challenges associated with homelessness. She is currently is a mentor of the MentorU program at her place of employment, which focuses on at-risk and troubled youth on her campus. She also serves a Direct Mentor at Montrose Grace Place (MGP), which is a welcoming environment for vulnerable youth of all sexualities and gender identities, providing nourishment, healthy relationships, and a positive outlook for their future. Brittany was a homeless LGBTQ youth most of her adolescence and young adult life, so she feels it is important to help vulnerable youth that are experiencing the same adversities she went through growing up alone. She believes every child should have a positive role model and is determined to make a difference in the youth she serves at work and at MGP.
Brittany is a proud member of Epsilon Xi Gamma, Incorporated, which is the first organization of all professional, collegiate and military lesbians and allies dedicated to serving LGBTQ first and LGBTQ only. She serves as the Director of Community Outreach and Director of Membership for the Houston chapter.

Angelina DM Trailz
LatinX drag illusionist, artist and violinist from Houston, Angelina is quickly becoming a crowd favorite at many of our Pride events.




DJ Rocaby

DJ Rocabye is one of the most sought-after DJ’s in Houston with over 11 years of experience.  She is best known for blending and mixing various genres of music, demonstrating her unique style and flavor.   From nightclubs to corporate events and anything in between she amazes her audience with her ability to keep to the dance floor packed.  Working some of the hottest night clubs and biggest events such as The Indiana Black Expo, Circle City Classic and Pride Houston Festival 2018, Rocabye has solidified herself as one of the best DJ Entertainers in the business. She has graced the big stage at other Gay Prides across the US like Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, Dallas and Houston. Recently, she’s done several guest host stints on the amazing 102.5 FM.

Monica Davidson

Monica Davidson is a youth activist, social justice change agent, TedX speaker, published author, spoken word poet, facilitator and educator from Madison, WI. Monica is a two-time member of Houston VIP Slam team, ranked 5th in the Nation. In Monica served as one of the inaugural Future Corps Fellows for Youth Speaks & worked collaboratively with Writers in the Schools in HTX. Countless high school, grade school, professional and community programs have worked with Monica to help facilitate and develop spoken word and writing curriculum. Monica believes we all deserve to help each-other out, every day


Rechatter “Bird The Songstress” Brady

Rechatter “Bird The Songstress” Brady is a phenomenal artist currently residing in Houston, TX.  Her most recent performance at the Indie Friendly Launch Concert where she sang with Syd The Man earned her coveted praise. With her angelic voice, she always reaches the hearts of people leaving them inspired and hopeful.  She is a resident performer of St John’s downtown, The TRUTH Project HTX, and a member of LOC, Inc
