Pride Houston understands there is much concern, and that we all have a responsibility to help slow the spread of  Covid-19 in our city.  Therefore, all in-person pride events for the year, including the Celebration and Parade, are cancelled. We must take the best course of action for the city we love, and the LGBTQ+ community. At this time, that means staying apart. Please stay tuned for news and updates about upcoming virtual events.

The Heritage Gala

On Friday, June 13, 2014 you are invited to Pride Houston’s inaugural black tie event… The Heritage Gala: Honoring the Legacy.

Houston is one of the most diverse cities in the United States and has its own rich history in regards to the LGBT movement. Commemorating our history has been part of Pride Houston’s ongoing mission and so this event is dedicated solely to creating an endowment so that in the near future all of Houston can experience a Houston LGBT Museum.

The Crystal Ballroom is a 1913 historic ballroom located in the heart of downtown Houston’s Rice Hotel. Originally the capitol of the Republic of Texas, this is one of Houston’s most unique and historic landmarks.

The Heritage Gala Experience:

  • Open Bar for the entire Gala, 21+ to drink
  • Seated Full Course Dinner, catered by Sambucca
  • Special Guest Speakers
  • Special Guest Hosts
  • Entertainment by DJ/Artists
  • Silent Auction
  • VIP Pre-Reception*

Proceeds from this event will go to an endowment for the purpose of creating a future Houston LGBT Museum.
